Technology and AI Advisory
Clarity before capital.
Kenetic Consulting helps CEOs, boards and PE sponsors decide where AI and technology will actually move the business, then builds the plan, the guardrails and the team to get there.
- 30 years of technology leadership
- Over $100 million global technology budget
- Multiple M&A integrations
- From startups to enterprise organizations
Where Companies Get Stuck
Why do AI and technology initiatives stall?
Most stall on clarity, not technology. MIT’s NANDA initiative found that about 95% of enterprise generative AI pilots delivered little or no measurable P&L impact, and it pointed to integration and learning gaps rather than model quality. The fix starts with a clear read on where you stand and what matters first.
Source: MIT NANDA, State of AI in Business 2025, as reported by Fortune.
- Eleven AI pilots and no movement in the P&L?
- A board asking for the AI plan you do not have yet?
- A deal closing in 60 days and nobody has looked under the technology hood?
- Leadership rates AI commitment high while the people doing the work rate it low?
None of these are technology problems. They are clarity problems, and that is where we start.

How We Work
How does a Kenetic engagement work?
We listen at two levels, leadership and the people doing the work, then deliver a first output in about two weeks. From there we build a sequenced roadmap of immediate, midterm and long-term moves, each with an owner, and stay close while your team builds it.
-
Listen at both levels.
We align what leadership believes with what is actually happening down in the trenches.
-
First output in about two weeks.
A clear read on where you stand and what matters first.
-
A sequenced roadmap.
Immediate, midterm and long-term moves, each with an owner.
- We are the architect, not the contractor. We design the plan and stay close while your team builds it.
- People over machine. The smart plan moves people toward the work technology cannot do, not out the door.
Measured, Not Guessed
How does Kenetic measure AI readiness?
With Evolvium’s Vista platform, which Ken co-founded with Max Cheprasov. Vista turns leadership and workforce evidence into a Transformation Potential Score (TPS) and a Transformation Blueprint, so recommendations rest on evidence from both the C-suite and the floor.

FAQ
Questions Clients Ask
How is Kenetic Consulting different from hiring a fractional CIO?
Kenetic takes on defined advisory work: an AI strategy, a governance framework, a diligence report, coaching for an executive. A fractional or interim CIO runs your technology function over time, and Ken takes those roles through Fortium Partners. If you are not sure which you need, start with a conversation and we will point you to the right one.
What is an AI readiness assessment?
It measures how ready your company is to get value from AI, using evidence from both leadership and the workforce. Kenetic uses Evolvium’s Vista platform to produce a Transformation Potential Score (TPS) across nine weighted dimensions, then turns the gaps into prioritized opportunities and a sequenced roadmap.
What does technology due diligence cover?
Before close, we assess the target’s technology, security posture, data and team, and write the findings for the deal team in plain language. After close, we turn those findings into an integration roadmap. Ken has led numerous post-merger integrations, consolidating 100+ platforms.
How quickly will we see results?
The first output lands in about two weeks: a clear read on where you stand and what matters first. Longer work follows a sequenced roadmap of immediate, midterm and long-term moves.
Who does Kenetic work with?
CEOs, boards, PE sponsors and holding companies, from startups to enterprise organizations. We can assess one company or compare readiness across a whole PE portfolio.
Do you offer executive coaching and mentoring?
Yes. Ken coaches and advises C-suite leaders on technology and AI decisions, and mentors up-and-coming technology practitioners to be leaders of tomorrow. He started his own career as a junior network manager with one direct report.
Should we hire a Chief AI Officer?
IBM’s Institute for Business Value reports that 26% of organizations now have a Chief AI Officer, and that those organizations report about 10% higher ROI from AI. Our read is that the gain comes from having one accountable owner for AI. For most mid-market companies, that owner should be an upgraded CIO rather than a new seat in the C-suite.
